About Us

Hi, this is Robert Cannon, the founder of EGearLab. Since childhood, I have been very passionate about playing with my electric toys circuits; later, I tested and developed different electric circuits. When I was taking admission to the university, looking at my enthusiasm for electric gadgets, my father suggested me to choose electrical engineering.

Following his suggestion, I was admitted to the University of Houston and graduated as an electrical engineer in 2013. Luckily, I got an internship at a well-renowned electric vehicle manufacturing company, which helped me a lot to pursue my career in electronics.

From 2013 to 2020, I worked in different electric products manufacturing companies, but due to the pandemic at the start of 2020, I lost my job just like many others. It was a very depressing moment, and to get rid of this depression, I started cycling. And this was where I got introduced to different electric bikes and scooters.

While purchasing different electric products for transportation, as an electrical engineer, I realized that there are many undefined things, due to which people are confused about choosing the right electric gear. This is where the idea to start EGearLab came from.

Due to the recent hike in fuel prices and environmental pollution caused by these petrol and diesel vehicles, electric vehicles are in high demand, but most people are not well aware of choosing the right electric products, which leads to disappointment.

With the mixture of my professional expertise and experience in using different electric vehicles, I started EGearLab to assist the community in finding the right electric gear for transportation according to their needs. My major expertise in electrical products is electric bikes, e-scooters, e-skateboards and unicycles.

On EGearLab, I share everything related to electric vehicles that I use for daily commuting and outdoor activities and also my vast knowledge about their working mechanism as well as tips for a safe and comfortable rides. However, due to limited time, I may not be able to cover everything that you’re looking for, so feel free to reach out to me at info (at) egearlab (dot) com, and I will try to give you the best possible information I will have regarding your query.
